Recently I came into contact with Tess Piet. A young, starting fashion designer that was about to graduating from Akademie Vogue for fashion design. Just like her personality,she made a very colourful and fun series of upcycled pieces, named “Pimp It Up!”.
For her graduation she had to organize a photoshoot that highlighted her fashion collection, and a few weeks later she would be showing the pieces on the runway in Amsterdam.
For the fashion shoot, she made the backgrounds herself, for each item of clothing (six in total) a different color of arches, that the models would stand in front of.
The images we created during the fashion photoshoot, were showcased before and after the fashionshow in Amsterdam, which was a really nice surprise for me.
And then it was time for the runwayshow itself. Since it was my very first time, I was a little nervous how everything would go. There wasn’t a lot of light, but this is something I’ve worked with before, during other photoshoots. The show was amazing! The models that walked the runway did an absolutely stellar job and I love how the pictures turned out!
